Insulated Panels NZ
PIR & EPS for Coolrooms & Cold Storage
Insulated Panels, PIR & EPS
The panel is the building block of every coolroom, freezer and food-grade space we build. We supply and install PIR and EPS insulated panels for walls, ceilings and roofs, specified to the right thickness, fire rating and facing for your temperature, hygiene and budget. Get the panel right and the room holds temperature, passes audit and lasts.
What we supply
Take it as supply-only for your own builder, or as a full supply-and-install package from us:
- PIR and EPS panel for walls, ceilings and roofs
- Food-grade facings and finishes for hygienic spaces
- Matched spans for wall, ceiling and roof to suit your building
- Fire-rated systems where the design calls for them
- Sealing details coving, flashings and trims that make a panel system perform over time
PIR vs EPS
The core choice comes down to performance against cost:
- PIR higher R-value per millimetre and better fire performance, for thinner walls, colder rooms and tighter fire situations
- EPS the economical option where the temperature regime is less demanding
- Thickness usually 50mm to 200mm depending on temperature and span
- Standards R-values and fire ratings specified to the NZ Building Code
- Facings food-grade, smooth, sealed and easy to clean
- Moisture control careful vapour control and junction detailing keeps moisture out of the build-up
Industries we serve
Our panel goes into every cold and food-grade environment we work in, from food processing plants and horticulture coolstores to dairy and agricultural builds, meat and seafood rooms, and cold-chain logistics facilities throughout the South Island.
Recent project
Around 3,000 m² of food-grade PIR panel supplied and installed for a Canterbury processing facility, covering walls, ceilings and a fire-rated separation, all sealed and audit-ready. (Swap for a real case study + image.)
