Walk-in Freezer Rooms & Blast Freezers

Freezer Rooms & Blast Freezers

Frozen product can’t afford a warm-up. We design, supply and install walk-in freezer rooms, low-temperature stores and blast freezers that run from -18°C down to -30°C and below. Every room is engineered to hold temperature and keep frost, condensation and floor heave under control, and we work in with your refrigeration contractor for one clean handover.

What we build

Our freezer work spans everything from holding stores to rapid pull-down:

  • Walk-in freezer rooms and low-temperature stores
  • Blast freezers and chillers for rapid pull-down
  • Freezer-rated panel for walls, ceilings and floors
  • Subfloor protection with insulated or heated floor details that stop frost heave before it starts
  • Freezer doors sliding or hinged, with strip curtains and heated hardware
  • Trade coordination with refrigeration and electrical from set-out to commissioning

Specifications

Freezer rooms typically run from -18°C down to -30°C and below, which calls for a heavier build:

  • Panel freezer-grade PIR or EPS, usually 100mm to 200mm to suit the load
  • Vapour barrier continuous, to keep condensation and ice out of the structure
  • Floors insulated or actively heated to prevent frost heave
  • Finishes food-grade facings, hygienic coving and sealed joints for easy cleaning
  • Doors heaters, seals and strip curtains to hold the cold in and cut power use

Industries we serve

We build for meat and seafood processors, food manufacturers, and cold-chain logistics operators across Canterbury and the South Island. Anywhere frozen product has to stay frozen, from the kill floor or wharf right through to dispatch, we can hold it.

Recent project

Blast freezer plus 400 m² holding store, Canterbury. Fast pull-down to -25°C with a heated subfloor and food-grade panel throughout. (Swap for a real case study + image.)
